VPK
The Padawan Academy Way
The Padawan Academy offers VPK (voluntary pre-Kindergarten) that will exceed state standards for Kindergarten readiness. Research shows us that children who participate in early childhood education programs are better prepared for elementary school than children who do not - academically, physically and social-emotionally.
The State of Florida provides to state residents FREE VPK when you enroll in approved programs like the Padawan Academy. Your child must be 4 years old on or before September 1 of this year. Our school also provides wrap-around care at an additional cost to support working families' busy schedules.
Children who enroll at the Padawan Academy may automatically matriculate to San Jose Primary, which is a tuition-free charter school for grades K-5. Our VPK children will become familiar with the types of hands-on learning that happens at San Jose Primary before they get there. You (the parent) will have the opportunity to know your child's Kindergarten teacher in advance of elementary school. We aim to make the transitions seamless at every stage of your child's early growth and development.
